Sandra Carden

Sandy is all about food for the soul and the planet: Growing it, preparing it, cooking it, consuming it, composting it, celebrating it, educating about it. No matter what part of the food cycle you’re talking about, she will educate both adults and children and make curricular connections! Spanish class doing master chef food preparation? Check. Calculus measuring the exponential growth of yeast in bread? Check. Culinary arts programs? Check. 

A supercharged powerhouse and never-ending source of ideas, Sandy can transform any empty space into a wealth of educational experiences and a school’s curriculum and learning experiences into a vision for a food-secure future!

Laurence Myers

Laurence is about the “big picture” and the interconnections between the vision and mission of schools, culture, curriculum development, instructional methodology and strategic planning for a better future.

He’s about planning things out, establishing processes and determining the “why” and how of cultural change and deep learning.

Pragmatic and purposeful, he initiatives and facilitates the conversations that lead to positive institutional change and the development of changemakers in our students.

Sustainability & Service Learning Advocate with a passion for student leadership!

Mel empowers students to connect learning with real-world impact and develop the confidence to lead change.

A dynamic facilitator and systems thinker, she creates spaces where students take the lead—launching initiatives, organizing service projects, and mentoring their peers.

With a deep belief in youth agency, she guides students to develop the skills, vision, and resilience to become changemakers. From grassroots projects to big-picture strategies, she is always building connections, sparking curiosity, and driving sustainable change. Wherever students are ready to make an impact, Mel is there to support and inspire them!
